Slightly less eventful than the previous day, Wednesday was overcast with sun breaking through occasionally. Spencer and I were up early and ventured into town. We found this adorable little place by the water to have cappuccino, croissants and blog/read. My brother and I are close in this aspect, and its good. I spent the rest of the morning swimming and running again, Matt choose to come with me this time, he definitely will be paying for it later.
After some exercise, we shopped some more. I did some observational shopping, calculating my future plan of attack. Spencer was on a mission to get something for his future love Illia. Whatever he bought was wrapped up nicely. We had lunch at the same pizza place as Monday, again the food was fantastic. After shopping and lunch I spent the afternoon by the pool, even with clouds you can get a tan. I am determined to be a few shades darker when I come back. My parents joined about an hour later, my father proceeded to yell about his goggles (Matt had left them in the room) and instead choose to use mine. He also put on my swim cap, frankly he looked like an orange piece of male anatomy. My guess is that I probably look like this as well. Note to self, switch back the black swim cap.
That night we were set to eat at Illia's house. She and her parents still live in her grandmother Tina's house, and Tina, sticking with the tradition of most Italian women, cooked up a storm for us. We had a great dinner, with lots of laughs and more than enough food. We are playing golf with Giordano tomorrow, and Spencer is spending the night with Illia, to attend classes in Milan in the morning. I am sure he is excited and so is she. Ah, how cute, foreign romance is in the air. Giordano sang for us, which he did very well, apparently that is his side job, picture Pavarotti, but skinnier and with less hair. We arrived home late, but slept well. Golf tomorrow with rental clubs should be interesting.
