At Jamie's recommendation we skipped our hotel breakfast for a chance to experience a Saturday morning at the Biscuit Mill. The Biscuit Mill turned out to be an incredible time. It is essentially a few eclectic higher scale shops with funky stuff, with an open air court yard in the center. There was an enormous tent filled with various stands/stations of everything food related you can imagine. At the entrance of the tent you were greeted with a large flower stand and an extremely colorful produce stand with a wide array of fruits and veggies. All the food looked scrumptious, it was so hard to decide what to eat. There were stands with fresh made bread piled high in a wagon, a table with a spread of mushrooms of all shapes and sizes that was serving grilled mushroom kabobs, a cured meats table, artisan cheeses, vegetarian fo

ods, a table with pastries and cupcakes, all sorts of sandwich tables, thirst quenching smoothies, fresh oysters and even some goods such as cutting boards, jewelry and clothing.
We ended up ordering various types of food, one at a time, and shared them until we were all too full to walk. This included everything from crepes, to oysters and smoothies to delightfully crispy hash brown pancakes with poached eggs. The later being a dish Justin and I intend to re-create once back in the states.
We could easily spend an entire day in this small, cheerful and welcoming farmers market. We had a whole day planned to tour wine country, vineyard hopping so while we stayed much longer than intended, we headed out around mid morning to start wine tasting. Vineyard experience coming soon...
